Local residents across the Parkes electorate will have personalised access to government services this month, with the Coalition Government’s popular Mobile Service Centre ‘Golden Wattle’ coming to NSW.
Federal Member for Parkes, Mark Coulton, said residents of Wee Waa, Goodooga, Collarenebri, Enngonia, Brewarrina, Trangie and Narromine will have access to important services including Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services.
“Mobile Service Centres have provided for more than 130,000 rural Australians in their decade on the road, and I’m pleased residents in the Parkes electorate can enjoy the convenience of this personalised service,” Mr Coulton said.
Staff on board also offer support tailored to each community, including a Social Worker and an Indigenous Servicing Officer. Information about Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and support services for veterans and their families will also be available.
“These Centres provide critical information, assistance and support to rural and regional Australians in accessing a range of services, including lodging Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and access to online services.”
“This is a great opportunity for residents to head to their local Mobile Service Centre and take advantage of the tour.”
